Small steps to feeling your best

From time-to-time we all get a little overwhelmed. Whether it’s a new diet, lifestyle or skincare routine, sometimes it can all be a bit much. However, we’re here to help get you back to looking and feeling your best with a few understated, yet easily incorporated, steps to stop the little things becoming bigger things.

Beauty sleep isn’t a myth
Your skin, body and mind will really benefit from a set bedtime to ensure you achieve 7-8 hours of quality sleep.

Raise a glass
Water isn’t the first thing we think about but our bodies are comprised of 50 – 65% of it! So if you’re noticing the effects of dehydration, try to take in 1.5 litres of water each day and you’ll quickly see improvements in the clarity, suppleness and smoothness of your complexion.

Head outdoors
Try to find some time each day to go for a walk. Even if it’s cold, pull on a jumper and head out for a lunchtime walk. Breathe in fresh air, escape the morning’s work and appreciate the world around you. Trust us, your afternoon will seem so much brighter and easier.

Brush up
You’ve probably heard it many times, but seems like something that would take far too long and doesn’t. In the 20 seconds your shower is warming up, quickly sweep our Body Brush up your arms and thighs. Done each day, it really will make a difference to not only your energy but look and feel of your skin too.

Breathe
The most natural and easiest de-stressing tool there is. Breathe slowly and deeply, in through the nose, out through the mouth – taking in more oxygen, transporting it around your body effectively and leaving you looking and feeling much healthier.

Enjoy exercise
An early morning run, bootcamp in the rain or a post-work gym session aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. With free time a premium, find something you love – dancing, ballet, yoga, boxing… there really is an exercise out there for everyone.

Celebrate the small things
Rather than focussing on what’s gone, celebrate the positives – the memories made with loved ones, the fact you’re finally getting more sleep and the self-indulgent idleness of being able to put your feet up at the weekends. Try to look at all the good things you have instead of the bad.

Appreciate the ordinary
Social media’s stream of other people’s fabulous holidays, purchases and lives can really leave us feeling lacking. But life isn’t picture perfect. And normal is fine. Enjoy the family and friends around you, celebrate the ‘everyday’ and this positivity will shine from your inside out.
